Who’s been background cleared? Is everything still up to date?

Using a new extension of our Volunteer Management System, we have automated this process. You provide your vendors with an online portal to login into. They register themselves and have their employees fill out an online form to get a background check.

All background clearances AND future arrests are shared with the related vendor and the school district.

And best of all, it’s free for the district and less expensive for your vendors. Each vendor pays $25 to register and $25 per individual background clearance (plus LiveScan fees).

How It Works

  • Each Vendor registers online at the District Portal: a Cloud-based Portal unique to each School District
  • Vendors contract with Be A Mentor for employee and volunteer background clearances
  • No need for vendors to sign up with the DOJ
  • Vendors receive clearance letters for their employees and volunteers.
  • Vendors receive subsequent arrest notifications for those employees and volunteers.
  • District receives clearance letters and subsequent arrest notifications for all individuals cleared through their portal.
  • Eliminates the need for dedicated district staff to manage.
