ASSISTANT PROJECT COORDINATOR
The Assistant Project Coordinator will provide essential support for the operation of a community-based mentoring program focused on foster youth in Alameda County. This role involves assisting with youth engagement, coordinating mentor activities, and managing program logistics to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and flexible, with an ability to coordinate multiple responsibilities.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Youth Engagement:
- Help maintain connections with youth participants to encourage ongoing program involvement.
- Ensure participant information stays updated to support long-term engagement.
- Mentor and Mentee Support:
- Assist in gathering feedback from participants to monitor progress and address any concerns.
- Provide general support to mentors and mentees throughout the program.
- Recruitment:
- Help identify potential mentees and support efforts to bring in new mentors.
- Encourage mentor participation in relevant activities and ensure they complete necessary training.
- Event and Program Coordination:
- Assist with organizing program events, including training sessions and roundtable discussions.
- Help with event logistics, such as sending invitations and tracking attendance.
- Data Management:
- Maintain records of program participation and interactions.
- Support program evaluations by compiling data and identifying trends.
- Communication and Outreach:
- Coordinate communication efforts with internal team members and external partners.
- Assist with outreach efforts to engage community stakeholders.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide general support for various program initiatives, including special campaigns and surveys.
- Help with other project-related tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Proficiency in navigating technology and learning new programs quickly.
- Reliable transportation for occasional off-site tasks.
- Prior experience with youth programs or administrative roles is a plus.
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
Hourly Rate: $25 – $28 per hour.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week.
