Be A Mentor SMS Terms and Conditions
These SMS Terms and Conditions govern text messages sent by or on behalf of Be A Mentor, Inc. By opting in to receive SMS messages from Be A Mentor, you agree to these terms.
Program Description
Be A Mentor sends transactional and program-related text messages to volunteers, mentors, students, parents, and program participants. Messages may include volunteer registration and onboarding links, account-access links, interview and orientation scheduling, mentoring session reminders, event reminders, program updates, and other communications related to Be A Mentor's nonprofit programs.
Be A Mentor does not currently use this SMS program to request donations or send unrelated third-party marketing messages.
Consent and Opt-In
You may opt in by providing your mobile phone number through a Be A Mentor website form, a paper registration form, or directly to an authorized Be A Mentor representative and requesting or agreeing to receive SMS communications.
By providing your mobile number, you confirm that you are the subscriber or customary user of that number and are authorized to consent to receive messages at that number. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.
Message Frequency and Charges
Message frequency varies depending on your participation in Be A Mentor programs and your interactions with Be A Mentor. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's rates and terms govern any charges for SMS messages.
Opting Out
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any Be A Mentor text message. After you send STOP, you may receive one final message confirming your opt-out. You will no longer receive messages from this SMS program unless you opt in again.

Supported Carriers and Delivery
Participating carriers may change. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your carrier and network availability.
Privacy
Our use of personal information is governed by the Be A Mentor Privacy Policy.
Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and SMS consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
We may use service providers that support message delivery and our operations only as necessary to provide the requested service and subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
Changes to the SMS Program or These Terms
We may modify or discontinue the SMS program or update these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
