Welcome to the Academic Mentoring Portal. Please follow the steps below to register online and complete the background clearance.

NOTE: Signing up to be a mentor has a $69* fee for a background check. We ask that our mentors pay this fee so that we can keep the program 100% free for the mentees.

Here are the steps:

• Click on the "Continue" button at bottom of this page, from SITES select the company where you are employed and complete the registration form. Or select “No Company Affiliation” if your company is not listed.
• After completing the registration form and clicking SUBMIT you will be asked to pay the fee to cover the cost of the background clearance.
• Complete the form to begin the background clearance.
• You will receive an email with info to login into your personal dashboard - please note that to login, you will use the email address and password that you listed on the registration form.
• At your dashboard you will have instructions for completing the clearance requirements.
• When all requirements are met and Clearance reports are received, you will receive by email a Clearance Letter with instructions to begin.

*The background check fee is $69 for all US applicants. The fee may be different for applicants outside of the US. If you are joining through an employer program, your employer may cover all or some of the background check fee or reimburse the cost.
