Grail Family Services Volunteer Requirements

If you are not volunteering with children the requirements are as follow:

Age Requirement

• Minors 16 -17 years old may volunteer with a completed parental consent form.
• 18+ do not require a parental consent form to be completed.

Complete an Online Application

• After completing the application you will receive an email with login information. At this login you will will find instructions and forms needed.

Grail Family Services and Alum Rock Unified School District requires that all volunteers working directly with children under the age of 18 get a Live Scan Fingerprinting Test and show proof of TB Screening and results prior to starting volunteer duties. Requirements include:

Complete and submit Tuberculosis (TB) Test Results

• At your login page you will find a list of locations for obtaining the TB Screening

Complete Live Scan Fingerprinting through the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office

• At your login page you will have information for scheduling your Live Scan appointment and be able to download a copy of the required form

(Yes We Can…Read! Mentoring Program) Attend a 3 hour Reading/Mentor Training

• At your login page you will have the opportunity to sign up for scheduled training classes
